Cable structure

  • Stranded bare copper conductors according to DIN VDE 0295 and IEC 60228 cl. 5
  • Core insulation of EPR compound
  • Color coded cores according to HD 308
  • Cores stranded in layers with optimal lay-length
  • Green-yellow earth core in the outer layer
  • Outer sheath of special PUR, color orange

Technical data

  • Flexible cable with EPR/PUR insulation according to DIN EN 50525-2-21
  • Temperature range flexing from -25°C to +80°C; fixed from -40°C to +90°C
  • Nominal voltage Uo/U 300/500 V resp. 450/750 V
  • Test voltage 2000 V resp. 2500 V
  • Minimum bending radius approx. 7,5 x cable diameter
  • Radiation resistance up to 100 x 106 cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad)

Application

These cables are used for medium mechanical stress in dry, damp or wet areas, e.g. for connecting agricultural and commercial equipment, for connecting heaters where there is a danger of cable damage due to its contact with hot surfaces. The cable can also be used in electrical appliances such as drills, hand-held circular saws as well as in building sites and refrigeration plants. These extremely robust cables are used for its resistance to abrasion and are ideal for outdoor use.
